how to type past 60wpm?

every week I take the typing speed test and I always get around 60wpm, the highest being 65wpm. I use the computer a lot so why am I not improving my typing speed? Any tips?

The keyboard can make a difference. A bad keyboard can slow you down by 25%. Other than that, practice. typing what you want on the computer and typing off a page for the test aren’t the same thing. Practice typing the way you type for the test. Type a full newspaper page every day.
