Think Speeding Advert
2010

Adverts aimed at adolescent driving?
Lets face it we all do stupid things while driving, however some of these are against the law and post a risk towards others on the roads and to ourselves. The government spends large amounts of money producing ad campaigns that broadcast the risk of such behaviour including; drink driving, texting while driving, speeding etc. Do you think these adverts are effective and are actually minimizing the behaviours of our youths on the roads…or are our youth ignoring these adverts, despite knowing what the risks are….would really like to know your thoughts…
No I don’t.
Face to face conversations of reality impact teens more than a random commercial few pay attention to ever will.
Sadly, youth tend to believe they are personally invincible…notice the surprise they have when the truth of the premature death of a friend involved in drunk driving or today’s supremely stupid texting while driving…sad, yes; but surprised?
