Traffic Violations Speeding Ticket
2009

Speeding ticket in Nebraska, will my Connecticut license accrue traffic violation points?
I recently got a speeding ticket in Nebraska (which I thought was entirely unreasonable but the cop would not budge, that being the last day of the month I think). I have a driving license issued by Connecticut. I have 3 questions:
1) How do I find out how many points I have accrued?
2) Will my points show up on my CT license record?
3) Moreover, I plan to move to North Carolina and get my license changed to NC. Will my driving record move with me too?
Appreciate any help in this regard.
Yes they will report it to Connecticut….. Both states are members of the Drivers License Compact. NC is also a member and it will transfer when you get a license there. They all share ticket information with the issuing state. Here’s a couple of links to read more….

Connecticut & Nebraska are also a member of the Non-Resident Violator Compact which means if you get an out of state ticket and fail to pay or appear in court they will suspend your driving privleges.

That is straight from the CT DMV website.
As far as the points I’m not sure….
The CT Department of Motor Vehicles typically assigns points to a person’s driving history if they are convicted of a violation but not if you make a payment in full and dispose of your case. The DMV does not state whether points are different if the violation is from out of state.
Check with the Connecticut Driver Services Division to find out for certain if points are assigned, and if so how many, for out of state moving violations. The CT DMV site says to call for information on this at 860-263-5720, the Operators License phone center.
