Why I can not have any internet service in my new apartment?

I am moving into a new apartment. It is in 1000 Farrah Lane, Stafford, Texas. The apartment people said that I have to go with his one preferred supplier of Internet services (So Fast Com.), Which has a poor service record speed and obsolete. say they can not take any other provider like AT & T and Comcast. Why is it so. Is there no law for this. This is a bad example of monopoly. Is there any way to fight for this?
