Albany, New York: unpaid parking tix, Car registered out of State?

My car is registered out of state. I have several unpaid parking tickets from over the last couple of years. I have a court date today to plead down a speeding ticket, and assume they will discover the unpaid parking violations. Can I tell them (since the car is still registered in my parents name, out of state) that it’s my parents car and they may have gotten the tickets while visiting without any negative repurcutions on my parents? What is my recourse? I can NOT afford to pay all these tickets and their late fees, and all of them were honest mistakes so please spare me any lectures. thanks!

I think you should better worry about the judge realizing that the car is illegally registered out of state. You are required to register in NY before 30 days is up. Failure to do so can lead to arrest, not just a ticket.
