Interstate speeding fine?

I bought a car in victoria and when driving it back to South Australia, my brother in law got done by a speed camera (130km in a 100km). The fine (and potential loss of licence) was sent to the previous owner and he has vic police my details. Does anyone know what will happen in this case? The car is now SA registered in my name.

by virtue of a commonwealth act (the service of process act) the fine and accumulation of points will go to the nominated driver of the vehicle
