Virginia Beach Speeding Fines

Speeding Ticket in North Carolina. 87 to 65, n reckless?
Back home from the beach, I was going through North Carolina. I I am an out of state driver and headed to Virginia. I saw down a hill (hidden state police) in the I-73, going 87 in a 55. According to citation, there is nothing on a reckless driving charge. However, 15 above the speed limit is supposed to be considered reckless. "This appears in court? Can I be charged by state police unwise if not? What is the penalty going to be in this? Can my license be suspended if the points in my license are not really damaged? I'm so confused and no one can seem to give me a straight answer!
and when looking at a couple of pages in google. It is said that reckless driving, including speed is a criminal offense and that will be on your record permanet. You could face 60 days in jail and if there was a charge, but I'm not sure how. Their licenses could be suspended
