Virginia Speeding Fines Increase
2007

Speeding 50 in a 35 in Virginia, pay fine or go to court?
I received a speeding ticket for going 50 in a 35 and the officer said I could either pay the fine (probably over $100) or go to court. If I go to court could I ask for a driving class to have the charge dropped and avoid increasing insurance rates? Or is it pointless and I should just pay the fine? By the way, I am only 17 and this is my first speeding ticket.
Going to court doesnt mean have a trial, it actually really difficult to have a trial, they will bark down your throat all of these other options because trials are anoying as hell to the courts.
Gotot court, try to get a deal where it has less points, and less of a fine. Hire a lawyer if you dont knwo how to do it, or what to ask for.
by yourself, you coudl EASILY get off for less money, wihtout even trying, just walk in there, they will tell you where to go, and you will get a deal, you could do this without even trying, however you coudl get much better deals if you knwo how to hustle the system, lawyers are great at that, so it might be in your interest to pay one.
