Wisconsin Speeding Ticket Cost

Getting car insurance for the first time on my own, but have a speeding ticket, cost?
I understand that if you have car insurance and get a ticket for the first time, the cost might not go up a lot. However, I don’t have car insurance yet (rather, my dad can’t pay for it anymore, so I have to get my own) so I’ll have the ticket on my record when I get the insurance.
It’s 3 points and I’m in Wisconsin, and it’s my first offense. Obviously I’ll shop around and frankly ask the reps if it’ll affect it, but for starters I’m asking here – will this make the initial cost more expensive for a few years? If so, will it be a dramatic difference?

If you are under 25, insurance is going to be high. If you want to find out for yourself, go to geico.com and put your information into the page that just lets you get a quote.
