Speeding ticket for minor…do they get mailed in WV?

Got pulled over for speeding tonight. Was going the same speed as the cars in front of me and my spedometer read 30 in a 25, but still speeding. He said I was going 36, so it’s likely my spedometer is off also. The officer didn’t hand me a ticket or anything, just said to slow it down when he handed back my license and registration stuff. This is my first offense and I’m in WV. For minors, is the standard thing here for the ticket to be mailed to the parents? Is this points on my license?

oh katie,,,,, you did not get a ticket at all and none will be mailed to your parents. you will get no points, just slow down like the officer said. don’t be all nervous around your parents or they will get suspicious
