Speeding

state ticket?

I live in NY but last week I received a speeding ticket in Charleston, WV. Does anyone know the law school regaurding traffic and whether it will help my driving record? I have paid the ticket, but I'm still not sure what to do. I do not mind paying the fine, I do not I want to raise my insurance. Would it be better to just pay by mail, or appear on my court date and talk to the judge. This is my first post, I was only 66, and I was surprised when the speed limit goes from 65 to 55 mph. go to court and try to fight it, if only one goes above the speed limit, hsould be easy to control. But if they say they were over 11, then will be harder to do.
