What do you think the police tasering a man for not signing a speeding ticket?

Obviously, this is a U.S. police I can only comment from a UK perspective. If this had been in the UK, would have been a blatant contempt for the use of force. We can not and taser in this way. Obviously I am not qualified to comment in detail about what the U.S. police should and should not do. It is clear that the U.S. is completely different from that of the United Kingdom that U.S. officials are regularly shot and killed in the line of duty. Also possession of firearms by U.S. citizens is commonplace and therefore it makes U.S. official react differently. In the UK if a person did not sign a speeding ticket would not be a problem, as I was satisfied with his identity. If I was not and the man was not willing to identify and then be arrested. I personally would take over a person's first stop. If the person became violent then I would look to use a cane, gas or Taser. In this particular incident I would not have used Tasers, not even considered at that time. As I said this is just my perspective as a UK police.
